The Power of Gratefulness

I’ve recently heard a lot of grumbling in the gym that some of the exercises are “too hard.” Or “I’m not strong enough to do it that way.”  Our job as your trainers is to inspire you and challenge you to become stronger and achieve your goals.  So when we make corrections to your form and the exercise gets harder for you it is because we want you to succeed. (And we want to avoid injuries caused by improper form.)

So this week, I thought it would be good to take a step back and contemplate how fortunate we are to be able bodied and remind ourselves how much more difficult physical fitness training is for some.  Every time I grumble to myself that I just don’t feel like working out, I remind myself that it a privilege to have the ability to do so.  When I really can’t get myself motivated I watch a few inspiring videos like the one below.  My entire mindset changes and I suddenly feel obligated to exercise.

Please take a few minutes out of your day to enjoy this inspiring video of our wounded service members making their fitness comeback and hopefully you too will find inspiration to challenge yourself, especially when it gets difficult!
