Buddy Up For Fitness!

by Anna D

Extra motivation

When you know you “should” work out but you just don’t feel like it, knowing that a friend is waiting for you at the  TFX studio:) or the end of the block for your weekly jog can change everything and get you out of bed faster. Friends can be a huge motivator to keep you going and stay faithful to your fitness routine. If you are not currently exercising with a friend, poll your group of pals and see who might be interested in joining you for a kick*** workout!  or going for a jog a few times a week. You’ll be amazed at the difference it makes to your motivation to work out.

Competitive spirit

Even if you don’t play sports or consider yourself competitive, you’d be surprised at how working out with a friend can bring out your competitive side (trust us — we all have one). When you’re ready to give up or skip that last set, just looking over at your friend, sweating away beside you (with no signs of giving up) can keep you focused. To really up the ante, we suggest taking things one step further. If you happen to be doing push ups or burpees  together :), try beating each other’s reps! . Whoever does the  more reps has to buy the post-workout health shake or smoothie! I do this when I workout with my daughter, although……I always end up BUYING!  (so, this rule only applies to friends lol)

Recover together
There’s nothing worse than undoing all your hard work at the gym with unhealthy foods. A friend who’s worked up a sweat with you is likely to want to join you for a healthy post-exercise meal or snack.

Transformers! it might be a good time to buddy up for fitness! we’ll see you at the studio ready to ROCK ‘N’ ROLL!

To Your Health,
